Full vellum binding (faded manuscript title on spine); in-folio (368x254 mm); titlepage engraved portrait. [12], 145, [7] pp., with additional title page, 8 plates, and numerous woodcuts, head and tailpieces throughout. A little scattered browning, foxing, damp staining, but overall in nice and clean edition. Folio edition of Vignola's important treaty on perspective (first published posthumously in 1583). This edition is also notable for the view of Bologna in the engraved title-page. The majority of Vignola’s editions were printed in smaller quarto or octavo formats. Cf.
