To the first work belongs 10 folded plates engraved in copper. On the second work, 1 plate [pp. 112-113] numerous woodcut and copper illustrations in the text. A few burnished and dampstained pages [73-122]. Cardboard binding of the 20th century. Worm holes on the first 8 leaves that do not harm the text. First title in First edition; second title in Sixth edition (first published 1683). François Blondel (1617-1686) with this text proposes a new method of fortifying cities. The attached figures represent the profiles of the fortifications and bastions in plan.
